I went to the Chelsea’s Farmers Market to meet with Elizabeth and her friend Rebecca. There are so many great lunch options at these types of markets it is hard to decide. I ended up with a Caribbean roti wrap that had hummus, tomato, avocado, kale and some other things that are healthy sounding but all together are delicious. Elizabeth brought Olivia, her dog who had a great time chasing around birds and eating scraps off the group. Elizabeth dropped off Olivia then we went to the Queen’s Gallery which is a part of Buckingham Palace. They were showing Northern Renaissance art. The images were all so well cared for! It was amazing to see how vibrant the colors were and how well things have survived.
I walked home after by way of Oxford Street and bought myself some prizes. I got a new pair of shoes and also a soccer ball! I really want to play soccer so I figure I can take my own ball out and kick it around and maybe get someone to ask me to play with them! We’ll see.
For dinner, Elizabeth and I went to the restaurant I just talked about…. Bubbledogs! It was AMAZING. It serves only hot dogs and champagne! How genius is that. There was a long line, we waited about an hour and a half to be seated. It was well worth the wait. I had a glass of rose and the Fourth of July dog. It was a hot dog, wrapped in bacon, covered in BBQ sauce and coleslaw! Elizabeth had a BLT dog that was wrapped in bacon, and had truffle mayo and caramelized lettuce. Our waiter was super french and had a very strong accent. He spelled July…Jully – probably thinking it was like Juillet. We also split tater tots and sweet potato fries!
All in all – a great day!
